Summary: | Colour postcard (published by Chas. L. Reis & Co., Dublin, Belfast, Glasgow) featuring an illustration (framed within a decorative oval of shamrocks) of a man, depicted wearing a hat of grey-blue coloured material, a green coloured coat and knickerbocker-style trousers that end at the knee; he wears blue coloured stockings and brown shoes. At left stands a red-haired woman. She wears a dress that consists of a skirt of blue and white striped coloured material, over which she wears an orange half-petticoat. Her bodice is made of material that is green in colour. She wears black stockings and yellow shoes. Printed on bottom right of the postcard [though it looks as though it is written in manuscript hand, it is not] “Two of Irish (neat)”. Yellow coloured harps are depicted in each corner of the postcard. The title is printed in black ink in Cló Gaelach at top right of postcard "Bárr na maidne dhuit" and underneath this is printed [though it looks as though it is in manuscript hand, it is not] "The top of the morning to ye". Printed on postcard in brown coloured ink on verso is: "Chas. L. Reis & Co., Dublin, Belfast, Glasgow". |
