| Summary: | On recto (on page written at top left "Hibernian Theatre of Varieties Lower Abbey Street survey scale 1/4" to a foot" are several architectural drawings relating to the proposed structure for the Abbey Theatre on a single sheet featuring the ground floor plan and basement plan; on verso of sheet is an architectural drawing of the ground floor plan of the stalls, a first floor plan of the balcony and a cross section of the proposed structure. Architect Joseph Holloway's work entailed the conversion of the Mechanics' Institute into a theatre for Irish Theatre Society and National Dramatic company, funded by Miss Anne Horniman (1860-1937)]. |
