Notes: | Anthony Raftery (1799–1835) also known as Antaine Raiftearaí and Antoine Ó Reachtabhra wrote poetry in Irish and was considered the last of the 'wandering bards'. His poem "Mise Raifteirí an File" appeared on the verso of the Series C Irish five pound note that featured on the recto Venerable Mother Catherine Elizabeth McAuley who founded the Sisters of Mercy in 1831 [prior to the introduction of the euro].
