|Summary:||Broadside poem, designed by Raymond Kyne Design Associates in 1997, one from a series issued to be displayed on DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transit) trains, featuring a decorative green and blue pattern framing the verses of the poem, terminating in an image of a DART train with several carriages depicted at bottom right of sheet. 'I am Raifteirí', a verse translation by Thomas Kinsella, is reprinted from Seán Ó Tuama and Thomas Kinsella (eds), 'An Duanaire 1600-1900: Poems of the Dispossed' (1981) with the permission of Thomas Kinsella. [The DART is an electrified commuter railway network serving the coastline and city centre of Dublin]. |
