Poster designed by The Graphiconies [Brendan] Foreman features a reproduction of a black and white head and shoulders, photograph of W.B. Yeats (where he is facing slightly left) taken by Ian Pirie MacDonald (1867-1942), a famous American portrait photographer. It was taken on 7 February 1933 and this original photograph is in the Library of Congress; at lower left of sheet can be seen embossed on the original photograph "Pirie MacDonald / Photographer of Men / New York". |
