Summary:A satirical ballad describing guerilla warfare activities in Ireland, with reference to the burning of the Custom House, Dublin which was occupied and then burnt in an operation by the Irish Republican Army on 25 May 1921 during the Irish War of Independence. (Established in 1872, the Local Government Board for Ireland was an agency of Dublin Castle administration that liaised with local authorities in Ireland). To be sung to the air of: "The dear little shamrock". First line: "There's a dear little bush has grown in our isle".
