Summary: | Kinelowen Street Keady is named after Kinel, a descendant of Owen McHugh of the Cairbre clan. Nearby is the townland of Rathcarberry, which was the seat of Cairbre's fortress. This busy stree is the main thoroughfare through Keady. Fronting onto this street are Keady's two banks, post office, and approximately forty-five other various commercial premises. |
