Summary:Maria, Countess of Coventry, née Gunning, (1733-1760), celebrated beauty, 1st wife of George William, 6th Earl of Coventry and eldest daughter of John Gunning of County Roscommon; probably from same picture as EP COVE-MA (2) II, dress altered, rosette at bosom, lace cape tied at throat, and thrown back to towards shoulders, slashed bodice and sleeves with pearls; oval frame cut in rectangle.
