Summary: | Maria, Countess of Coventry, née Gunning, (1733-1760), celebrated beauty, 1st wife of George William, 6th Earl of Coventry and eldest daughter of John Gunning of County Roscommon; half length, directed towards left, facing and looking to front, hair in curls at back with a few perls, small patch on right cheek, low dress, bows of ribbon on bodice and sleeves, scarf over right shoulder; oval frame cut in rectangle. |
