The publisher Máire Ní Raghallaigh, (1867-1941), was involved in the establishment of a branch of Conradh na Gaeilge in Naas, Co. Kildare following organisations for the 1900 St. Patrick's Festival; she was elected secretary of the Branch in June 1900. By 1916 she had opened an Irish language bookshop at 87 Drogheda Street, Dublin.
