Setting painted by Noel McMahon and Barry Collins". The play 'And Him Stretched' by Patrick Galvin is a satire on post-treaty Ireland. A soldier is dying; when he is laid out for the wake in the corner of a basement room in a doss-house [a place offering cheap lodging] in Dublin, a debate takes place between four characters representing four Irelands - 'Nationalist and Past', 'Present and Disillusioned', 'Cringing and Parasitical' and 'Well-meaning but Defeated'. Amongst the cast was the actress and director Lelia Doolan in the role of Maise Riordan. Black and white illustration printed on verso of programme advertising C.I.E. Rail Rambler and Rail/Road Rambler cards.
