| Summary: | Undated Union of Students in Ireland poster seeking an increase in maintence grants for third level students attending universaity. The poster features an image of Jack Lynch, smoking a pipe, which has puffs of smoke [akin to thought bubbles] arising from it - within one of these is printed: "Fianna Fáil will immediately raise third level grants and mindful of the fact the fact that eligibility limits have not been raised during a period of 100% inflation, will raise the limits realistically". (FF Manifesto - General Election 1977). Poster bears red stamp on it that reads: 'Trinity Student's Union Posters' with the coat of arms of Trinity College Dublin [indicating it was once pasted onto a wall or affixed to a notice board in TCD]. |
