Summary: | Contains letters of sympathy, written to Mrs. Downey and her son Alan following the death of the writer, publisher and newspaper editor Edmund Downey of Waterford. Included are letters from Edward Walsh of the 'Munter Express', H. Ridgway, of Portsmouth, and D. E. Keohan, a staff member at Downey's paper 'The Waterford News'. Also included is a letter to Mrs. Downey from Charles L. Keogh of Ranelagh, Dublin, his which he refers to the popularity of her husband's stories which were being broadcast on radio (Feb. 1938). |
