Summary: | 1) The first card, postmarked 1973, refers apparently to expenses for a trip to Cardiff. 2) A card to Colin Huggett, postmarked 1982; the picture side of the card represents a portrait of Heaney by Edward McGuire. 3) Heaney writes to Roland John (founder of Hippopotamus Press), declining to contribute to a book on Derek Walcott; the card is dated 25th August 1990. 4) A printed card signed by Marie Heaney. The text reads '191 Strand Road, Dublin 4. Seamus Heaney is teaching at Harvard University, Cambridge, Mass. between February and June. I have filed your letter for his attention when he returns.' The card is postmarked 1986. |
