Summary: | Walter Carpenter was arrested and imprisioned for a month in July 1911 for “using language calculated to lead to a breach of the peace and with having endeavoured to degrade the King in the esteem of his subjects". On his release there was a rally and celebration at Liberty Hall addressed be James Connolly. Sheehy-Skeffington also enquires as to whehter anything can be done to stop Lakin in "his insensate campaing against the Freeman and Telegraph". |
