Summary:Correspondence relating largely to recounting events of 1916 and Fianna Éireann, and Éamon Martin's input to same. Correspondents include Rosamund Jacob, Capt. C.A. Clarke, Fr. Augustine O.F.M. Cap., Seamus G. O'Kelly, C. Desmond Greaves (editor of Irish Democrat), Roger McHugh (senator), Mary C. Bromage (author of Devalera and the March of a Nation), Fr. Arthur O.F.M. Includes letter from Dan Conroy, sent from Tintown Internment Camp 1945. Also includes a copy of a letter sent to the Secretary of each Sinn Féin Cumann from T. Kelly and H. Sheehy-Skeffington relating to the establishment of the National Conciliation Board for the settlement of labour disputes (13th September 1919) .


Letters also include correspondence between Éamon Martin and the National Museum of Ireland (G.A. Hayes-McCoy) in relation to donations of material to the NMI by Martin, including a statement by Dr. Raymond Dowdall in relation to the death of Thomas Ashe at Mountjoy Prison in 1917 as a result of forced feeding (MS 49,484/2/30-31), and a letter written by Liam Mellows in Mountjoy Prison dated 8th Dec. 1922 (MS 49,484/2/27-29).
