Central illustration shows map of Ireland to the side of which are two flags, one bearing the words 'Catholic, Protestant, Dissenter, quis separabit?' To the furthest sides of card are texts relating to Ireland in comparison with other European countries. Black and green ink. Foot of item is a print of quote by Saurin: 'You may make the Union a law but you cannot make it binding on conscience. Head of item is a print of quote by the Dungannon Volunteers from 1788. Handwritten entry on this particular copy reads: 'This form found from 1 Jan, 1844, T.M.Ray ... the names of the battles were omitted in new issue after the state trials.'
