The title pages list the Mayor, the judges, sheriffs and all the members of the Grand Jury. There are detailed lists of proposed expenditure and the names of contractors by the Grand Jury who governed the local administration. Apart from much on the repair and construction of roads and bridges, they detail payments for the maintenance of gaols, the conveying of prisoners, salaries for officials and gaolers and court house keepers, fees for surgeons to attend gaols and the insane, militia family money, feeding costs for prisoners, the maintenance of the poor in the County Infirmary (£500 a year in 1813), renting of offices, printing, etc. Large sums were periodically earmarked for the construction of an Infirmary and House of Industry and of a Court House in Derry.
