Notes: | This item is held in the Ephemera Department. Following the execution of the Pearse brothers after the 1916 Rising, their mother reopened St. Enda's [Cullenwood House], which the closure of St. Ita's had vacated. Frank Burke [an ex-pupil who had served in the 1916 Rising] was headmaster. The school returned to the site of the Hermitage [now The Pearse Museum, Rathfranham] in 1919; St. Enda's closed in 1935.
