Includes reasons to vote candidate: " Because being a worker he understands the needs and aspirations of the working class; because the uplifting of the working class must be done by the working class; because the food and sanitary officers cannot fully perform their duties owing to the number of slum owners, milk adulterators, publicans and scale manipulators at present in the council; because the corporation have powers which can be used for the benefit of the workers; and Carpenter if elected will insist on those powers being put into operation and because a vote for Carpenter is a vote for a cleaner, brighter and happier city".
