At a Madison Square Gardens gathering by the 'Friends of Irish Freedom' on December 10th 1918, 'a unanimous resolution was passed demanding a free plebiscite of the adults of Ireland, and that her decision be accepted and guaranteed internationally, instead of the present foreign rule by naked force.'

'The week from the 9th to 16th December, 1918, is "Irish self-determination week" in the United States and the 14th December will be "Irish self-determination day."
