Summary: | Portora Royal School which stands on top of a hill to the west of Enniskillen, affords an excellent vantage point to view the island and the River Erne. Many of the town's prominent landmarks are visible. In the centre of the picture is the Cole monument, whilst towards the right may be seen the spires of St MacCartan's cathedral and St Michael's church. To the left of the River Erne is the Erne Hospital. |
