Summary: | Engraving depicts the exterior of the publishers office with the sign 'Sidebotham' above the door and the words 'Opposition Caricature Shop' above this. The carriage in the foreground being pulled by two horses going in opposite directions and out of control; the driver tries to reign in horses while a gentleman passenger holds onto the side of the carriage. A horses' foot tramples a pig lying in the middle of the road in left right corner of foreground, while onlookers stand in the background watching the commotion. Sidebotham was a print publisher active simultaneously in London and Dublin; he had premises in Dublin at 4 Lower Sackville Street, (1802-1813) and an Opposition Caricature Shop Lower in Sackville Street (ca.1809)
