Summary: | Portrait of Sir Thomas Lopdell O'Shaughnessy, (1850-1933), who was sworn in (in 1905) as the Recorder of Dublin, a judicial position that was abolished in 1924, with the Recorder's functions transferred to the new Circuit Court; he subsequently became a judge of the High Court in the Irish Free State, resigning in 1925. He was knighted in 1927. |
