Summary:View of Charlemont House, Palace Row, Parnell Square, Dublin, Ireland. Built in 1761-63 by Sir William Chambers for James Caulfield, Earl of Charlemont. Now the Hugh Lane Gallery. The small building in the foreground is one of a pair of shelters for the sedan-chair-men (two of which can be seen resting in the shade). This building is now demolished. The part of the former Rutland Square, with gardens facing Charlemont House, has now been laid out as the Garden of Remembrance.
