Saint Titus Brandsma :
Carmelite and Martyr - literature from Whitefriar Street Church where he spent a number of weeks ahead of a trip to the United States to deliver some talks. He was canonised by Pope Francis in Rome on 15 May, 2022. There is a statue of Titus Brandsma in Whitefriar Street. He gave his life in the Dachau concentration camp so that someone else could live. He was a Carmelite journalist during World War II.

As chaplain to the Catholic journalists in Holland, he came into conflict with the Nazi occupiers for refusing to publish Nazi advertisements.
