| Notes: | Diaries range in size from 10.5 x 7 cm to 20.5 x 13 cm. Michael J. Tutty was the son of Micheal Tutty and Kathleen McGovern and brother of Captain Owen Tutty. Tutty joined the Irish Messenger, published by the Jesuits, in 1930 and remained with the publication until 1973 when he retired. He married Mary Ellen Dunne in 1941 and had two daughters, Maeve and Dorothy, and a son, Michael Gerard. He joined the Old Dublin Society in the 1940s and was elected to Council in 1958. He later became Honorary Secretary, Vice-President and President of the organisation, and was Honorary Editor of the Dublin Historical Record from 1971. Physical description: 37 volumes. more |
