Pamphlet 'Ireland's Future: A Bird's Eye View of the Public Career of a Consistent Patriot and Statesman', 1884. This is a copy of an Address that had been presented to Smyth entitled 'Address to Irishmen' and 'Continuation' by Caroline Queensbury. It covers topics such as prisoners, the Land Act, legislative independence and the American Civil War.

Two letters from Smyth to Henry Tobit Evans, 1884, discussing John Mitchel, Van Diemen's Land, and Mitchel's 'Jail Journal', presenting his pamphlet 'Ireland's Future' to him, and stating that he 'opposed the League or Parnell Party, and for so doing have incurred the displeasure of my constituents'.
