Three letters are signed M. Griffiths, Portland Cottage [Martha nee Howell, the wife of William married secondly a Mr Griffiths], and a letter from William Howell McCarthy to ‘My dear grandmother’ (1864), whom he has never met before. There is also a name card for a [Howell]. |
