Summary: | An advertisement depicting four views of College Green, Dublin, ["North West View", "South East View", "East View" and "South West View"], each within an oval, surrounded by a decorative zoomorphic interlace border and each of which feature a view of the shop of R. Atkinson & Co., Irish Poplin Manufacturers based at 31 College Green Dublin and a view of the equestrian statue of King William III [erected in 1701 at the expense of Dublin Corporation; removed in the aftermath of an explosion on Armistice Day, 11 November 1928]. At top of print is the royal coat of arms of the United Kingdom, while at the bottom of the sheet is a harp depicted within an oval of shamrocks, representing Ireland. At each side of the print is printed: "Atkinson & Co. forward for inspection specimens of Irish poplin, per post, free". |
