Among the correspondents are the Trocóniz family, owners of the Gran Hotel in Salamanca; Monica Henchy (née Leahy), TCD librarian and wife of the NLI Director (1967-76), Dr Pat Henchy; and Victoriano and Margarita Sanmartin, who were caretakers of a villa owned by the Irish College and whose son Domingo was shot by the military.
