| Summary: | Page 37 from French journal 'Le Monde Illustré', 1880 (attributed to H. Dutheil, after drawings by Gustave Janet "from English documents") featuring four illustrations of scenes in Ireland during what became known as the Land War in 1880. Illustration "1. Les volontaires, venues pour protéger le captaine Boycott, quittant la maison de Lough Mask, dans le comté de Mayo" depicts volunteers who came to protect Captain Charles Boycott, in order from him to leave his house at Lough Mask, County Mayo; illustration "2. Petit fermier du comté de Meath" [Small farmer from County Meath] depicts a farmer walking with a string attached to the hind foot of his pig. Illustration "3. Les difficultés d'une exploitation agricole dans le comté de Mayo" [The difficulties of farming in County Mayo]; illustration "4. La troupe conduisant le troupeau du captaine Boycott de Lough Mask, à Claremorris" [The troops driving Captain Boycott's herd from Lough Mask to Claremorris].
