Summary:Letters to George Wolfe of Bishopsland and Forenaughts, Co. Kildare, concerning the family's association with Québec and his attendance at the Québec tercentenary celebrations in 1908. Included are letters to Wolfe from C. P. Lucas, under secretary of State in the Colonial Office, regarding Wolfe's attendance at the celebrations as a representative of his family (20 Apr. 1908), from the office of the Dominion Archivist, in Ottawa, concerning his work on a book to mark the tercentenary (2 Nov. 1908) and an undated letter from from John Horn, of Longueuil, Québec.


Included are related ephemeral items acquired during Wolfe's visit (including a table plan for a dinner which Wolfe attended, a menu for a dinner in Club de la Garnison, a calling card from Adelard Turgeon, Forestry Minister of Québec, and a typescript document relating to the Wolfe family of Kildare and Limerick, written to mark his being invited to represent his family at tercentenary) and public events relating to the Wolfe family and 150th Anniversary of the Battle of Québec (1909).
