Summary:Undated handbill relating to the role of a sub-agent in relation to their duties in a polling station during an election. Includes the following details - "Immediately the Poll closes, he should ascertain the number of votes polled, and assist the Personating Agent in sealing the Ballot Box. He should secure from his Director of Elections a private seal (or seals) sealing wax and tape. He should arrange with the Volunteers to supply a guard to accompany the Ballot Box to the place appointed by the Sheriff. The success (or failure) of the Candidtate depends to a large extent on the manner in which the Sub-Agent carries out his duties".
