Summary: | Diary of politician Thomas Henry Grattan Esmonde, coverning the period 1 January to 9 March 1923, in which he records his attendance at various committee and board meetings, visits to the Seanad, alongside the continuing political violence by the Anti Treaty forces throughout the country. Esmonde references occurances of fighting in Dublin and the burnings of country houses, the home of President William T. Cosgrave and his own house Ballynastragh, near Gorey, Co. Wexford in March; this forms his last diary entry in the volume.
