|a Moore writes that the Lord Mayor of Dublin has provided a room in the Mansion House for holding a convention on 5th July 1917. He also dismisses criticisms of his character that have appeared in the press. Moore also states that claims by [Laurence J.] Kettle, [Robert] Page, and [James] Lenehan that they are in the process of organising a National Convention are untrue, and that such claims are intended to confuse the issue.
