"Valencia, with its population of about 2,500 feels the want even more than other country parts in consequence of being an Island...For foregoing reasons, it has been determined to endeavour ro raise funds for the erection of a Village Hospital for Valencia, at Knightstown, in the immediate vicinity of the residence of the Medical Officer of the Dispensary; and the following Committee has been formed for the purpose of collecting subscriptions for its establishment and maintenance: - The Knight of Kerry, Glanleam, Valencia [,] Captain Needham, Valencia [,] Mr. J.
