Summary:Correspondence concerning potential new rules developed by the Board of National Education that prevent Irish and Irish History being taught in every school, an attempt to resolve a dispute between the Gaelic League and the United Irish League, Hyde getting the treasury to release the result fees for Irish, Hyde’s pamphlet regarding the 'Irish Professorships at Trinity College Dublin' and his frustration at a published letter by Cardinal Francis Patrick Moran to Joseph Devlin which claims the Gaelic League leaders are hostile to the Irish Party. Also includes a letter from Hyde seeking Redmond’s permission to publish a letter.
