Rodgers writes "Peadar, as you know, was a labour organiser, and however much you, as a body, are implicated in the blood campaign of the government I expect you shall have some scrap of loyalty left to the members of your own body. If Peadar goes the way of the other brave men you share full responsibility for his murder.".
