Summary: | Broadside sheet [black font on buff paper, 4 pages, two pages printed]. Issued in the aftermath of the death of Timothy Harrington seeking subscription of money to support his family - "a number of his friends have set on foot a subscription for the purpose of forming a fund for the maintenance of his family, and particularly the education of his children, all of whom are quite young, and, therefore, unable to keep themselves". The second page contains a list of subscribers to the fund for the Harrington family from whom money has been received - those include Cardinal Logue, William Martin Murphy, John Dillion, M.P. Harrington was a member of the Irish Parliamentary Party [representing Westmeath, February 1883 - November 1885]; elected for the new constituency of Dublin Harbour in 1885 [held seat until his death in 1910]; serving as Lord Mayor of Dublin on three occasions from 1901–04. |
