Summary: | O'Brien refutes Carney's statements about the relationship between Connolly, the Socialist Labour Party and the Industrial Workers of the World; argues that James Larkin was not involved in arranging for Connolly's return from America; and claims that, although Connolly did not organise the Irish Citizen Army, he "transformed it into a real revolutionary army [...] The Citizen Army is remembered only because of Connolly's command of it". |
