Summary:Inscription on the half title "The / Lady Augusta Gordon / June 10th 1839 / K ------ P". Augusta Fitzclarence (later Lady Augusta Gordon-Hallyburton) was the illegimate daughter of William IV and Dorothy Jordan, and a close friend of Louisa Stuart Costello. Printed book label on the front pastedown with the text "Mrs Erskine Wemyss" engraved in cursive. Millicent Ann Mary Kennedy Erskine Wemyss was the daughter of Lady Augusta Gordon. Bookplate on verso of front free endpaper with text "Rosslyn Erskine Weymss R.S." who was the son of Millicent Erskine Wemyss.
