Summary: | Mr. Close gives Davis a detailed account of a faction fight that took place in Turloughmore, Galway on the 1st of August 1824. The constable, Mr. Brew, attempted to arrest one of the participants and both factions turned on the police, who eventually fired their guns. There were injuries and at least one death. |
