Description: Personal and business correspondence of family members and associates. Contains some correspondence relating to legal affairs of the Smyth family including letters of Messrs Bayley and Maxwell, Alexander Durdin and Joseph Lindsay Curtis. Includes a copy of a letter from 'C.H.B.' to Harriet discussing her rejection of a marriage proposal from Grice [1831], a letter of Rowland Henry Tyssen Smyth to his mother from Felstead School, [1889] and a letter from John Henry Graham Holroyd to his wife Harriet.
