Summary: | Handbill for an Irish music concert in the Mansion House, Dawson St., Dublin organised by the Colmcille branch of Conradh na Gaeilge. Printed at top of handbill: 'Do chum glóire Dé agus onóra na hÉireann' ['For the glory of God and the honour of Ireland']. States that there will be 'a short address' by the Capuchin priest Fr. Augustine Hayden. [During Easter Week 1916, Fr. Augustine assisted Cumann na mBan members in the hospital based in Fr. Mathew Hall and on Thursday of that week went to the Volunteer position in the Four Courts; he subsequently conveyed surrender orders through the Dublin garrisons]. Admission is 6d.1 & 2 shillings. The handbill encourages the public to "See Posters and Press Announcements" and at bottom of handbill is also printed "Have you seen the poster?". |
