Summary: | This broadside is a reprint of an extract from "Erin", an Illustrated Journal of Art and Industry, for November 1896. First lines read: "It was in 1891 that the Sisters of Mercy at Gort, Co. Galway, determined to follow the example of the Sisters at Skibbereen, Queenstown, and other Convents, in an attempt to revive home or cottage industries...". At foot of sheet: "Price list will be forwarded on application and orders for donations should be addressed to Sister M. Philomena, Workroom, Convent of Mercy. Gort, Co. Galway". |
