Undated anti-Catholic, anti-Jesuit leaflet [though William Rowbottom is documented as a bookseller, printer, bookbinder, stationer and having a paper hanging warehouse in St. Mary's Gate, Derby in "The history and directory of the borough of Derby, a guide" by Stephen Glover, published in 1843]. With quotations from Archbishop James Ussher (1581-1656). Printed at end of sheet: "No peace with Rome! Any person to whom this paper may come, is at liberty to reprint and circulate it in his own neighbourhood". Price for the leaflet was one farthing, or 50 for one shilling.
