Notes: | Two copies of this poster are held in the Ephemera Department; EPH E213 is hand-coloured. Anti-Free State poster accusing the Irish Free State government of murdering their fellow Irishmen. Caption at bottom reads: "'You did not think that we would execute Irishmen. We did, - and we will bloody well execute again!' Mr. Hogan Free State Minister for Agriculture speaking at Crossmolina, Mayo, 10//11/24". The name 'Fionnbarr' [the name 'Finbarr' in Irish; presumably the artist responsible for the poster's design] is on the bottom left hand corner of the poster. Poster shows Patrick Hogan [with the name 'Hogan' on his shirt], standing in front of a field of dead bodies; his hands are held out in front of him dripping with blood. In the distance, small crosses [marking graves] can be seen. On the right hand side stand two men dressed in green with bloody pikes on their hands; blood spatters their uniforms.
