Summary: | Postcard depicts an image of an older man pinning a sprig of shamrock to a younger soldier's coat; they stand beside a crowded ship. Beneath them are the lyrics to the song by Lawrence Wright "Your dear old dad was Irish". Printed at foot of recto: 'Hamforth (Copyright)' and 'Words by kind permission of the Lawrence Wright Music Co.'. Verso has art nouveau design with 'Postcard' and 'B Co.' printed on it an a stamp box to its right. It is otherwise blank. Printed at side of verso: 'Bamforth & Co.
