A faithful, discreet, innocent, wise, clear, mild, modest, well judging countenance, in which the traits all appear to harmonize in favour of constancy, benevolence, honour and disinterested love." Depiction of Thomas Hawkesworth from the celebrated trial on 15th May, 1804 in the Court of King's Bench, before the Lord Chief Justice Downes and a special jury, wherein Mary Fitzgerald, was plaintiff, and the Rev.
